One of my favorite things to do is astrophotography, which I don't get to do often because the light pollution is quite bad locally and in fact...it's pretty bad anywhere near metropolitan areas unless you go further into the countryside, but this quick weekend getaway out in the West Virginia mountains gave me a perfect chance to try my hand at it again. This was shot around midnight outside our cabin near Mt. Hope, West Virginia while my friends were inside enjoying the fire. I didn't take many photographs with my DSLR on this trip as it was mainly for fun, but this is the one I will remember most.
